It’s World Cup time for the cross country athletes this weekend in Nove Mesto. We paid a visit to the new Radon Factory XC Team to check their new hard tail bike, the Jealous. This is Mathias Flückinger’s.
Radon is a German company that sells directly online. You can check the full Jealous line up here.
Shimano XTR Di2 drivetrain.
1x chainring. No 2x with Synchro Shifting for Flückinger.
The shifting remote, and the electronic lockout control for the fork.
Fox 32 SC fork, 80mm travel.
Negative stem and the Di2 display.
Shimano pedals.
XTR brakes.
Schwalbe Thunder Burt tires. We are not so sure Mathias is going to use them on the race track, they are famous for their light weight, but also for being quite easy to flat. Ralph Näf, Radon’s team manager, didn’t want to tell us what rims they are using. Any idea?
Definetely not a tire for wet conditions.
Esi Grips, very comfortable even without gloves.
No dropper post on the hard tail, pinning the weight to 8.1 kg.
