Troy Lee Designs, an industry leader in helmet safety, innovation and graphic design
is excited to announce it’s 2015-spring release of trail, gravity and race helmets. The
range of helmets is a personal victory for company founder and head designer, Troy
Lee, who struggled in 2014 with injuries.
Leading off the collection of industry leading lids is the new A1 trail helmet. Only in
it’s 2nd full year, the A1 has been winning awards worldwide and being touted by
many as the ‘most comfortable helmet’ ever produced. The A1 Helmet has seen
some refinements to strap construction internally within the EPS, and an added
composite filament layer skin, in between the EPS and the helmet shell for
penetration reduction.
D3 and D2 helmets that have been the benchmark in safety
and style, resulting in elevating the entire helmet industry are back with some fresh
looks from wild to mild. Competition has been fierce in the industry and TLD strives
to hold that top spot in consumer polls, that we have held for so many years.
Certainly not resting on our laurels, the TLD design and engineering department are
continuing to push the boundaries of style and innovation.
Troy Lee who has now returned full time to TLD had this to say upon the launch of
the new line of helmets :
“2014 was a struggle for me personally, suffering from a big
crash on my dirt bike before the summer began, it kept me away from the shop for a
many weeks, but more importantly it kept me from my yearly Whistler trip! This
collection is a big victory because I am really proud of the new designs and
improvements. We elevated our testing program and are still setting the benchmark
against other brands in safety. The design team worked so hard with me, coming
over to my house during the rehab, going over paint ideas, designs and creating. I
got back on the bike at the end of summer and I have never been so happy to be
back. It feels great to have built a company where we can all create and dream, but
more importantly, keep people protected while they enjoy a bike ride.”
The full line of spring release helmets is for sale now at finer dealers world wide,
and stay tuned for another release of helmets in the summer of 2015. Troy Lee
Designs is also launching today, new social media channels for the bicycle division
to focus it’s content for the bicycle consumer.
