Magura Updates Brake Reach Adjustment

MAGURA listens: Test-winning MT7 now with improved reach adjust

.

The customer is king: MAGURA adjusts its new brake generation to satisfy customer requirements. The MAGURA MT6, MT7 and MT8 with optimized ergonomics will be available from Eurobike 2015 on. The brake lever can be positioned closer to the handlebar. This saves energy and is ideal for small hands.

Even a multiple test winner can still be improved – and MAGURA proves it with the new MT7. This four-piston stopper from Bad Urach has earned the verdicts “Super” and “Very Good” from hyper-critical testers from magazines across the media landscape – thanks to its superb braking power, fade resistance and modulation.

The only criticism was that the brake lever could not be positioned close enough to the handlebar, and that this could be problematic for riders with smaller hands.

“We took this feedback from our buyers and from the testers very seriously, and after making a small modification, which will be rolled out to production in July, the lever position can now be adjusted very close to the handlebar – so it’s now perfect even for small hands”, explained Christoph Kern, Head of Development at MAGURA.

Riders with ‘normal’ sized hands will also benefit from the increased adjustment range. Hand fatigue is reduced when the bite point is set closer to the handlebar – and that can make a real difference at the end of a long ride on the trails, or after a hard day in the bike park.
