[Press release] – Enduro is 20 years old. If all other mountain biking disciplines derive from other sports, enduro is specific. Some consider it THE mountain bike. As this sport is relatively young, this implies a continuous questioning, development and above all an in-depth analysis of needs and changes.
The Commencal Enduro Project was born for this. To allow us to improve, first in competition, then in general. It is a three-year project, inspired by our DH model, which is as close as possible to high-level sport.
For this first year, the goal is clear: development. A team, a structure and above all a bike. Here are the 3 working pillars to work on at the same time. This bike is a prototype. It represents our progress since the start of the project in June 2021. The work done in this period is already considerable. While this is just the beginning, it has allowed us to validate new principles of kinematics and geometry.
For the first part of the season, only the project riders (Alex Rudeau, Guillaume Larbeyou and Louis Jeandel) will ride this laboratory bike, with the specific aim of collecting data and continuing development.
