After eight days of thrilling racing, 748km of distance and 16.000m of altitude, Christoph Sauser (SUI) and Jaroslav Kulhavy(CZE) won the general classification (MEN) of this year’s Cape Epic by 10 minutes and 41 seconds from Topeak Ergon’s Alban Lakata of Austria and Kristian Hynek of the Czech Republic. After a tough week in beautiful South Africa with many mechanical problems the German/Swiss duo Karl Platt and Urs Huber from team BULLS ended up third at the world’s toughest mountain biking stage race.

The prestigious Grand Finale stage was won by Meerendal Centurion Vaude’s German/Swiss combination of Jochen Kaess andDaniel Geismayr.
In the women’s category Ariane Kleinhans (SUI) and Annika Langvad (DEN) dominated the 2015 Absa Cape Epic from the Prologue to Stage 7 with their intensity and world class mountain biking ability. So today they took the overall victory very well deservedly at Meerendal Wine Estate, Durbanville.

2nd place: Team Topeak Ergon – Kristian Hynek (CZE) and Alban Lakata (AUT)

1st place: Team RECM Specialized – Ariane Kleinhans (SUI) and Annika Langvad (DEN)
2nd place: Team Ascendis Health – Jennie Stenerhag (SWE) and Robyn Lee de Groot (RSA)
3rd place: Team Scott Factory Racing – Yolande de Villiers (RSA) and Janka Keseg Stevkova (SVK)
