We had a few minutes to pull Brendan Fairclough’s bike aside for some photos before he really got to it in morning practice. His Scott Gambler is likely the only mixed wheel size ride at Rampage with a 29″ front and 27.5″ rear wheel. Brendog opted for the Alloy Gambler frame this Rampage, which is done up in a shiny custom paint job from Scott.
We didn’t get the exact weight, but it was pretty low – supposedly the alloy Gambler is freakishly light for a non-carbon fiber bike.
A rather menacing front end.
A 525 pound spring on the Fox DHX2 with “very slow rebound” and loads of compression. DMR AXE cranks and Brendog’s signature pedals sneaking into the mix.
ENVE M930 rims. Don’t listen to the hype – Brendog went through less than 1/10th the amount of rear wheels last season as he did the year before. The new TRP drivetrain keeps him in the right gear.
Signs of Jordie everywhere.
BF800 signature Deity bars and TRP brakes as well as Deathgrip signature grips.
A closer look at the TRP derailleur.
Custom orange crowns on the Fox 49 fork for the big dog.
