[Bike Check] New Stöckli “Trail2Rio”

[ad3]

Last weekend in Lenzerheide the Stöckli team riders have been using a new bike, called internally “Trail2 Rio” (it hasn’t an official name yet). It’s a full suspended XC weapon made in Germany, not available in the shops yet. It will not before the 2016 Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro. In the photos you can see Mathias Flückinger’s bike, but Jolanda Neff was riding pretty the same rig.

Full carbon frame. Its weight: 1800 grams without shock.

The travel can be changed (100 or 120mm) flipping the rear shock bolt you can see in the photos. Obviously also the geometry changes, and the bike will have a slacker head angle and a lower bb in the 120mm configuration.

Stöckli says the frame is 13% stiffer that their best competitors.

Shimano XTR Di2 only.

The frames doesn’t have traditional sizes right now, each frame is made specifically for each Stöckli athlete.
