[Bike Check] Steve Smith’s Devinci Wilson

[ad3]

Steve Smith has been on his comeback for a while now and his results have continually improved. Whilst at Val Di Sole we managed to grab a few moments with his bike and check out what he rides down the track.

Devinci mechanics dont like to be disturbed, so they hide in a tent with their bikes, only the press are allowed in to see the race bikes. Here is Steve’s bike pre race.

At the back end we have XO DH keeping things running.

Behind on the other side Steve uses Code brake callipers.

Up front his chainset is carbon SRAM XO with Crank Brother Mallet pedals, the pins are fairly recessed in the pedals.

Rock Shox keep things floating over the bumps with this tuned shock.

Avid Code callipers up front with 200mm discs.

Guide brake levers up front are mated to the Code callipers.

Steve uses Schwalbe tyres. Dirty Dans were mounted at Val Di Sole.

The linkage system.

The carbon rear seat stays.

The wheels are interesting. Steve’s rear wheel has two valves, for the Schwalbe Procore.

Custom pedal branding.

Stevie popped in for a few moments to see how things were proceeding with the bike setup. He was very quiet and focused on the job in hand.
