[Eurobike] 2017 Crank Brothers

[ad3]

We stopped by the Crank Brothers booth today at Eurobike to see what they had to show off for 2017, and it turns out that they’ve revamped quite a few things.  As a brief overview, there is a new new multi tool line, new mini pumps, an expansion of their pedal lineup and wider rims on their wheelsets.

Multi Tool

There are three new multi tools, two of them feature a magnetic sleeve/carrying case.  The F15 features a chain breaker that slots into the aluminum sleeve.  All of the tools features a 5 year warranty to compliment their sleek design.

Mini Pump

The new Klic line of mini pumps are quite catchy.  They seem low in profile and use a hose, a T-handle and manage to sneak in both a CO2 adapter as well as a gauge on the two upper end models .  The line is devided into Klic HV(high volume) and Klick HP(high pressure) with HV aimed at MTB and HP aimed at Road.

Pedals

Two new pedals have arrived.  We already covered the wider Q-Factor Mallet LS here, but today they’ve shown off a super high end Mallet E 11 with Titanium wings bringing down the weight to 385 grams but bump the price up to $350 US.

The new double shot 3 is a $125 plastic caged budget version that is half platform/half clip in.  Like most Crank Brothers products and all other pedals, they still carry a 5 year warranty.

Wheels

The big story here is that Crank Brothers have widened their rims across the Cobalt, Iodine and the Zinc 3 platforms.  They’ve also added boost options and claim that the new rim widths support 27.5 Plus.
