FOR TRAIL BUILDERS AND TRAIL WORKERS
Building good trails is hard work. Handling heavy tools and materials in the forest can be a real challenge for equipment. This is why we have added a special backpack/workwear combination for trail builders to our range: the TRAIL BUILDER and the TRAIL WORKER. The former is a mobile workshop for carrying on your back and the latter appropriate workwear for your specific needs.
The TRAIL BUILDER is a toolkit for your back. Designed and developed together with and for trail builders, the pack offers 30 litres of capacity for carrying everything bike park engineers need to create trails that bike riders tell their friends about. The backpack must be able to withstand a great deal, which is why it is made of extremely tear and abrasion-resistant CORDURA. The PU coating makes it moisture and dirt-repellent. Axe, hammer and hedge shears can be stored on the inside or attached to the outside of this practical toolkit backpack. There’s even space for a chainsaw in the flap on the front of the pack: the handle fits into a cavity and the saw blade is securely fixed. Important extra: the separate Nail Wrap, a roll-up bag with slots for nails and other small components, which is attached to the outside of the backpack by means of multifunctional loops. The pack even features a special attachment solution for bike protectors. Convenient: When not required, the attachment loops can be easily and securely stowed away. Another key feature is the reinforced waterproof
compartment for wet items in the base of the pack.
Naturally, the TRAIL BUILDER also boasts all sophisticated and superior EVOC features: To enable systematic packing, you can open the main compartment towards the top (like a top loader) or along the entire length. A compartment at the front of the backpack serves as a mobile workshop and can store a toolkit, pump, repair kit and tubes in clearly laid out pockets and mesh sections. You can also include hydration systems of up to three litres in capacity in the side compartment (with emergency drainage). Convenient: a drinking tube clip. In order to protect goggles and sunglasses from scratches we have fitted the top compartment with an ultra-soft lining. Two hip belt pockets – at the request of our Canadian team riders they are large enough to pack a bear deterrent – offer space for small parts and necessities. Compression straps keep the backpack in shape. A rain cover is also included. Padded shoulder straps as well as a chest belt with integrated signal whistle keep the backpack in position. The AIR CIRCULATION SYSTEM achieves perfect air
circulation across the entire back area.
A decisive factor when it comes to fully loaded backpacks is the carrying system, however. In this respect, EVOC impresses with the NEUTRALITE CARRYING SYSTEM, which ensures that weight distribution is almost neutral to movement, while offering excellent carrying comfort. A stabilising element transfers the weight onto the wide, heavily padded hip belt via segmented and strategically positioned padding, and consequently towards the body’s centre of gravity. In this way, the comfortable carrying system offers as much freedom of movement as possible when riding a bike and enables transporting of tools and equipment even in difficult and challenging terrain. Wide, ergonomic and well-
It hasn’t always been easy finding the right equipment for our trips. So we developed our own backpacks and bags – ones that meet our requirements. Since increasing numbers of people wanted our products, we founded EVOC in 2008. Since then, nothing has changed in terms of the standard for our products: We provide equipment of the highest quality with sophisticated functions and refined details that protect both male and female athletes as well as their gear. But EVOC is even a bit more than that: Not only do we set the standard in terms of safety, design and comfort – we also transfer the passion for what we do in every product.
THE TRAIL WORKER SUIT
Our TRAIL WORKER SUIT is both a work and a bike overall. But above all, it’s a workaholic: A tool pocket and tool loops carry all items a trail builder needs to have at hand at all times. Reinforced knee and elbow sections make the overall even more durable. Ventilation holes in the upper part of the garment as well as at the back and in the pockets provide for fresh air and cooling when trail builders start to sweat while shaping or riding a bike. The two-way zip also ensures air circulation and makes taking off the suit easier when nature calls.
But we have also developed unique solutions for riding a bike: the
suit is cut in such a way that it is ideal for biking as well as working.
The back length is flexible thanks to a wide stretch insert, while the
hip width can be adjusted by means of wide Velcro straps to enable
comfortable movements on the bike. Talking about comfort:
Naturally, the crotch is seamless. You can also adjust and fix the
sleeve and leg width via Velcro straps to avoid interference while
riding. Plus, you can turn the long trouser legs into shorts in no time
at all.
Of course, the fit of the overall is loose so that elbow and shin
protectors can easily fit underneath. Numerous zip pockets,
including a lift card pocket on the left upper arm, and a goggle wipe
cloth complete the kit. Funky feature: the name badge on the chest!
Convenient: the TRAIL WORKER SUIT has been manufactured entirely of technical materials. On the outside you’ll find the same material that we use for our bike shorts. Jersey fabric is used for the lining. That’s why the overall is not only very durable but also relatively lightweight. In addition, the material is elastic, quick-drying and breathable. Ride on!
