[EWS Finale] Barelli Currently Leading, Fabien Barel’s Incredible Comeback

Two French men are dominating the standings after the first day, Barelli with his incredible first position in the overall day’s results and Fabien Barel with probably one of the greatest comebacks of all time in mountain biking.

Barelli kept his cool and flowed down the trails having fun, he made sure to focus when needed and he let the bike run where possible, to give the extra speed needed to make it to the top of the day’s rankings.

Barel on the other hand managed to return from a life threatening injury to first position overall at Finale Ligure. “I was almost crying at lunch time when they told me I had the overall lead. Now I need to go swim to relax my back.”

Interviews with the lead riders and their thoughts after day 1 of racing at the Enduro World Series in Finale Ligure.
