[EWS Finale] Nico Lau’s Cube Stereo

Nico Lau would have won the EWS Finale Ligure 2013 if he hadn’t made a mistake at the time check during the first day. The Frenchman is superfast on the technical and rocky stages of the Italian location. If you take a look at his bike, you’ll see a machine trimmed to kill it downhill.

The bike as you see it in the photos weights 13.7 kg.

This Cube Stereo looks “normal”…
Mechanic Shimano XTR 2×11, with 36 and 26 T chainrings
11×40 cassette

Bionicon chainguide. The Stereo has no ISCG mount.
Schwalbe Gravity tires. Tubeless ready in the front…
With Procore double chamber system in the back. Lau wants to save weight on the front, that’s why he has no Procore there.

2015 Shimano XTR brakes
Fox 36 with 180mm travel
Lau likes a very high cockpit, especially here in Finale
Remote CTD control for the Fox Float X.
