There have been a ton of sick bikes floating about and getting abused at the first round of FEST series in Santa Cruz, CA. Perhaps the coolest thing we’ve seen is Cam Zink’s prototype 26″ Carbon YT TUES.
All smiles. Cam has been killing it at Cruz Fest and he’s loving his new bike.
While we aren’t sure if the bike will hit production, most of the parts are a 27.5″ Carbon Tues. The frame utilizes a custom set of seat stays/dropouts to work everything out with the geometry and suspension so the 27.5″ bits work nicely with 26″ wheels.
This is mainly what’s different : the rear axle location, relative to the rest of the bike.
Cam’s Rock Shox Vivid is so heavily damped that most normal humans couldn’t ride it.
Sensus Saddle. Duh.
Cam has been riding the Deity T-Mac pedals and loving them.
Blackbox for life!
34 Tooth X-Sync Ring for Cam. “Spin to win.”
SRAM XX Brake levers.
Big jumps call for a big spring on the Vivid.
OG Sensus grips sans lockons.
Super short 28mm Deity stem.
Parting shot of the custom stays.
SIKE! Cam blasting.
