Inside YT Industries & Sensus Grips with Cam Zink

[ad3]

If you live under a rock then you might not know that Cam Zink has recently become the USA importer for YT Industries. The German bike brand has created a stir by introducing a direct-to-consumer sales model as well as mind boggling value on all platforms and pricepoints. Not only that, but their bikes are widely hailed as being cutting edge in their design as well. Aside from setting world records, flipping 70 foot cliffs, winning best trick at Rampage for the last 3 years in a row, raising a two year old daughter, making two new movies, and entering the occasional race, Cam has also been running Sensus grips. What an entrepreneur…Last week we crossed the state line and stopped into Reno, Nevada to see what this busy guy has been up to lately.

Welcome to Reno! Take a look inside YT Industries USA and Sensus Grips with Cam and Howie Zink
Bike porn. Personal rides of Howie, demo bikes and other various two wheeled things found in the office. We’re working on getting a Tues for a test rig. We’ll keep you posted.
We may have interrupted one of Cam’s back yard jump sessions to bring you this content. Then again, maybe it was time for him to take a quick break anyway.
If not the hardest working man in mountain biking, you’ve got to give it to Cam for being the most entrepreneurial. Running Sensus, YT, chasing his baby daughter and planning a wedding all while doing the most massive moves on a mountain bike is no easy feat.
Extra bits and pieces.
As you’ll hear in the audio, beer is a great way to get people to “TRY” your bikes…After the ride – not before it 😉
The Sensus corner. Fortunately grips and tee shirts don’t take up too much real estate.
All YT bikes ship with Sensus grips nowadays both here and in Europe. YT bikes in America ship with Deity pedals as well. If you’re lucky you might get a sweet sticker. Lower left is a QC checklist. Zee Germans don’t mess around.
Bikes on bikes. There aren’t too many YT bikes left in stock at the moment. New ones are showing up constantly, so pre ordering is key.
Sensus has some new bits in the works. More details in the audio, but a mud guard with some sweet graphics is always a good thing.
While there is plenty of warehouse space for a bunch of new YT’s and the best grips on the planet, the most important part is the office. That is where shit gets done.
Every HQ needs a spot to work on bikes….Some motivational quotes are always good as well.
Thanks for the tour Cam!
