The cassette is the key and heart of any drive train. SRAM have well understood this with the surge in Ebikes and are focusing research and development on producing a pedal assist drive train which we looked at recently.
On the sidelines of our test rides in Finale Ligure with the EX1 we spoke to Henrik Braedt the lead engineer who went over the key features of the cassette in our quick fire interview and added his technical view on what he did when he designed the cassette.
