Jerome Clementz extends Cannondale contract by 3 years.

The video above is a send off thank you from Mavic – his wheel sponsor since 2009. Who’s wheels will he be riding for next year? We’ll have to wait and see.

Cannondale officially announced that they’ve extended Jerome Clementz’s contract for another 3 years.

Press Release:

Wilton, Conn. – December 4, 2014 – Cannondale, a premium brand of Cycling Sports Group, part of Dorel Industries, Inc. (TSX: DII.B, DII.A), today announced that 2013 MTB Enduro World Champion Jerome Clementz of France will ride with the brand for another three years. “I really enjoy racing and riding my bike, I wanted to keep doing this for a few more years,” said Clementz. “When it came time to speak about the future, it was clear that Cannondale was my first option. We share the same vision, and it was easy to continue together.”

Cannondale has long been Clementz’s frame sponsor, and the brand is excited to continue to support his racing and passion as he tears it up. “We’re thrilled to continue our relationship with Jerome,” said Scott Rittschof, General Manager Cannondale. “He is an icon in the sport of enduro mountain bike racing, and we value his passion and knowledge for the sport. He has provided us with incredible product insight and feedback, and we are looking forward to watching him tear it up on Cannondale for another three years.”

Clementz will remain heavily involved in the development of new Cannondale bikes and platforms, with special attention to the brand’s OverMountain line. He is excited to continue on with the OverMountain team, where he will still compete on the Jekyll and the Trigger, machines designed for the highest level of racing. “I won my biggest results on a Cannondale, and my best trips and adventures have been with Cannondale. The OverMountain team and the rest of the Cannondale crew are like a family for me,” added Clementz. “This is where I feel good and where I can give my best. I am looking forward to some exciting projects coming up as well.”

Over the next three years, Clementz will work with a dedicated support crew at the highest level of the sport, as he seeks more wins. “I have big goals for the next three years, and I would love to clinch another Enduro World Series title. It’s not going to be easy so it’s important to have the best bike and the best support. We will leave nothing untried, that is for sure!” “I know that Cannondale will provide me with all I need. On top of that, I’m excited to continue with my teammates on the Cannondale OverMountain Team; run my own structure; keep traveling the globe and sharing my passion for riding through video and photos to keep it fun.”
