Kate Courtney’s Contessa Spark RC

The 5th round of the 2022 World Cup Season is just around the corner and  SCOTT-SRAM’s Kate Courtney has just received her all-new Contessa Spark RC World Cup bike featuring a very special Contessa design. Why in Lenzerheide you might ask? The famous Lenzerheide World Cup circuit holds some special memories for Kate. It was 2018, when Kate Courtney rode to glory, winning her 1st World Champion title!  Given that special connection, it is the perfect moment for Kate to showcase the new Contessa Signature design.

The color ways featured in the New Contessa Signature Collection are attention grabbing. The unique color of the Contessa Spark RC, combines a metallic paint and raw carbon finish and her kit matches the strong colors carried by the Contessa Collection. We simply can’t wait to see this rocket-ship lining up at the starting line!

“It’s safe to say that I’ve had a lot of success in recent years with the Spark. From the first moment I stepped on this new version, I knew that I have every chance to continue that success for years to come. From the geometry to the integration, the all new Contessa Spark RC takes everything I loved about the previous version and makes it so much better.”

– Kate Courtney

“This bike performs incredibly well on the Lenzerheide track. With the twinlock suspension, I am able to lock out completely on the pavement climb, use traction mode for the rooty pedaling sections and, of course, get the full 120 mm of travel on the technical descents and jumps. Can’t wait to race fast and have fun on the new bike this weekend!”

The Bike – SCOTT Contessa Spark RC
Last year the Spark was a revolution in the bike industry. This year we took the same high-end components, the integrated rear shock, the highest level of integration and all the features which make the SCOTT Contessa Spark RC a winning bike for the season.
The Contessa bike is no exception within the Spark family and is as strong as its counterparts. Featuring our fully-integrated shock and cables, 120mm travel fork, TwinLoc and super clean lines, the bike is truly a marvel of modern engineering.

For SCOTT-SRAM’s Kate Courtney the all-new Contessa Spark RC comes with a very special setup featuring RockShox SID Ultimate, SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS Drivetrain, the wider Syncros Silverton SL (30mm) carbon wheels, Fraser iC SL combo and even a lighter version of her Tofino saddle saving 50g. Talking about a tricked out bike, this rig ticks all the boxes.
