Maja Wloszczowska at work on the flow-trails of Livigno

[Press Release] A very special foreman directed the work on a new trial of the Carosello 3000 – Livigno. MTB – Xco Champion Maja Wloszczowska actually initiated the construction of a new trail designed for mountain biking that would be completed during the autumn and inaugurated at the beginning  of the next summer season.

Champion of Poland, with an amazing list of prizes as the title of XC 2010 World Champion, silver at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and 22 World and European medals between 2000 and 2015, spent some time with the trail manager Alberto Clement   and his entire team. The athlete then continued her training on the trails of Carosello 3000 in order to get the best shape for the World Xco Championship that will take place in Andorra.

“I love this new mtb trails!” Maya said. “Every time I ride the Roller Coaster or the Hutr Dream I have a boost of endorphin and smile doesn’t go away of my face. Those trails are great for everybody – they can be challengin for fast riders, but if you go slow, they can be really easy also for aslotute beginners. When finished, the new trail would have a length of 5.4 km, an average gradient of 9.75%, and a vertical drop of 520 meters, starting from the top station of the gondola Carosello 3000 San Rocco and ending near the mid-station. Unlike the trails already built, the new one would combine elements of flow country  style with dips and technical  passages which are typical for Enduro.

Moreover, this trail would bring the total of new MTB trails at Carosello 3000 up to 20 km, in addition to the existing natural paths and various trails reserved exclusively for hikers and trail-runners. It would be another step forward for Carosello 3000 which had become one of the most organized mountain areas with ski lift system  for summer and winter outdoor sports.
