Maxxis’s Eurobike announcements for product year 2016 have presented a whole host of new ideas, take a look through the details below.
Our first new feature from Maxxis is the new 2 ply casing named the Double Down. Normally their DH casings have a 60 TPI (weave) engaged in the double casing. With double down there is still a double casing, but the weave is now 120 TPI.
This leads to a lighter weight compared to the downhill version, but is more robust compared to their EXO casings. The new casing is tubeless ready.
Maxxis has introduced some new tyres and sizing for 2016.
The Aggressor is new for 2016 and specific for Enduro.
Minion DHF and DHR, now available with Double Down casing (also in 27,5″x2.5″).
High Roller 2 and Shorty in new versions.
Tomahawk, a new line focused on All Mountain and Enduro.
The new Minion Semislick, low level blocks in the centre, with the traditional Minion blocks on the edge. An ideal race tyre for the back of the bike.
New Crossmark 2, the design has new ramped blocks and a V design.
The new Race TT, an evolution of the Larsen TT
The Chronicle now available in 27,5+.
The Minion FBR, where FBR stands for “Fat Bike Rear”.
The Minion FBF, where FBF stands for “Fat Bike Front”.
Colossus, a new model that is less aggressive than the Minion.
