GT Bicycles Announces New Limited Lifetime Warranty on Frames and Components
Wilton, Conn. – September 1, 2014 – GT Bicycles, a brand of Cycling Sports Group, part of Dorel Industries, Inc. (TSX: DII.B, DII.A), today announced a new limited lifetime warranty on 2015 model year bike frames and components. This limited warranty will offer the GT consumer assurance that they will be able to continue shredding knowing their bikes are protected.
This warranty, with the exclusion of Freeride, and Dirt Jump frames, covers bikes against manufacturing defects in materials as well as workmanship for the lifetime of the original owner. GT Gravity, Freeride and Dirt Jump frames such as the Fury, Sanction, Distortion, Ruckus, and La Bomba are warranted against manufacturing defect in materials and/or workmanship for a period of three years from the original purchase date.
Similarly, all components, frame fixtures and finishes (including paint and decals) are protected against manufacturing defects in materials and/or workmanship for one year from the original purchase date. GT suspension forks are covered for one year as well. Non-GT branded suspension forks are separately covered by the warranty of their respective manufacturers.
The GT limited warranty goes into effect as soon as a bike is purchased from an Authorized GT Bicycle Retailer and only applies to the original owner of a GT bike. For a warranty claim to be considered, the bicycle must be brought to an Authorized GT Bicycle Retailer. The bike must be assembled and accompanied by the original sales receipt. Consumers should check their GT warranty booklet, which can be found with the GT Owner’s Manual, or contact their local GT dealer for complete details.
