Geometry

Weight reduction

Orbea has reduced the frame’s weight by 250 grams by using flat mount OMX carbon fiber on both the front triangle and rear chainstays, leaving them at 430mm. The result is the world’s lightest standard XC full suspension mountain bike. The Oiz Carbon OMX frame weighs 1,740gr in size M and with shock absorber, while the Oiz Carbon OMR weighs 2,050gr.

Fiberlink

In search of rigidity and clean lines, Orbea has developed Fiberlink injected with long fibers. With the right combination of low weight and high rigidity, Fiberlink seamlessly integrates with the Oiz’ frame shapes.

Squidlock

A three-position remote control: compact, light and functional, to which you can also add the button to operate the dropper seatpost.

Internal routing

It’s the quickest way around the competition – and the optimal route for control cables racing to your fingertips.

The rear shock lockout is completely invisible, hiding from mud and staying out of your way as you grab a water bottle. Controls are accessible and easy to use, creating the smoothest and sexiest shock mounting on the market. It’s a small detail, but when your bike is optimized, customized and weaponized, obsession over details can’t be trivialized.

Double bottle

One of the simplest features of the new Oiz was one of the most complex: the M, L and XL frames are equipped with two bottle holders in the front triangle. The additional space is available thanks to the routing of the cables through the internal line allows more water to be reached at hand instead of carrying it in your pocket or on your back.

Integration OC

The XC Orbea family of bikes now have a new front look with a unique integrated handlebar, headset, spacer and stem design . The system includes the option of GPS mount compatible with all major brands that use standard adapters. The OC components are intercompatible with each other.

Geometry

In the XC version, the Oiz has a 69º steering angle, a 75º seat angle and a 435mm reach in size M. The position is aggressive, comfortable and fast. Maneuverability is precise and intuitive to achieve maximum agility without compromising stability. Angles and dimensions have been carefully adjusted to different sizes to increase power while increasing efficiency.

The Oiz OMX’s stays are extra short (430mm) for explosive acceleration, more maneuverability, and greater traction on steep climbs. The OMR frame pods are maintained at 435mm, prioritizing stability at high speeds, reliability when maneuvering and comfort.
