[Press Release] RockShox announces their limited edition RS-1 inverted fork.
ALL BLACK, BACK IN PINK
25 years after changing mountain biking forever, RS-1 is back. To celebrate this iconic product and the RockShox brand, which are once again changing the way we look at mountain bike suspension, we are offering a Limited Edition RS-1 with special decals that hint back to the original 1989 RS-1 graphics and colors. This fork, in its special packaging, will be only available in Europe and orders will be limited to the first 500 requests.
Package includes:
– RS-1 Limited Edition – 100mm travel
– 120mm air shaft (allows travel change to 120mm)
– RockShox digital pump
– Limited Edition RockShox beanie
A chassis design never seen before, which integrates the fork’s steerer tube, crown and legs into a single carbon fiber upper. The all-new Accelerator Damper, which combines incredible small bump performance with an ultra-efficient lockout. Predictive Steering, a reimagined interface between hub and dropouts which enabled us to create an inverted fork light enough for XC racing and stiff enough for trail riding.

PREDICTIVE STEERING
Predictive Steering features a stock 15mm Maxle Ultimate mated with a solid oversized axle running through the hub, the Torque Tube. When the system is clamped with the corresponding dropout, the Torque Tube axle becomes a structural part of the fork, providing unparalleled stiffness. Fork leg twisting is minimized. And, since Predictive Steering technology only adds material around the dropouts and on the hub’s axle, the weight difference compared to a standard 15mm through axle setup is minimal, while providing an unprecedented level of torsional stiffness for a lightweight, inverted fork. This technology gives even the best riders room to find a new line. And it’s only available on RS-1.
