Proving he’s an animal regardless of conditions, Aaron Gwin unsurprisingly took the fastest time in qualifiers at Leogang today after a dousing of rain. The next few riders after him are all incredible when things get nasty on the track. We’ll see if things dry up for finals, but barring a huge mistake, it’s safe to say Gwin is unbeatable here. After all, he won last year with no chain.
Rachel is after her 10th consecutive win and it looks like she’ll have it in the bag given her 8+ second spread over the other ladies on the track. In juniors, UK rider Elliott Heap took a win by a fairly good margin mixing things up nicely. Full results below. Stay tuned for photos as they roll in later today.
