[Racing] Leogang Qualifying – Gwin & Rach go fastest

[ad3]

Proving he’s an animal regardless of conditions, Aaron Gwin unsurprisingly took the fastest time in qualifiers at Leogang today after a dousing of rain. The next few riders after him are all incredible when things get nasty on the track.  We’ll see if things dry up for finals, but barring a huge mistake, it’s safe to say Gwin is unbeatable here.  After all, he won last year with no chain.

Rachel is after her 10th consecutive win and it looks like she’ll have it in the bag given her 8+ second spread over the other ladies on the track.  In juniors, UK rider Elliott Heap took a win by a fairly good margin mixing things up nicely.  Full results below.  Stay tuned for photos as they roll in later today.

Gee man getting his strengths back after a nasty crash at Ft. Bill

Lots of tire cutting this week.
Keeping the mechanics busy.
Legend.
#1 in the greasy conditions. Gwin seems to be unstoppable here.
…Speaking of unstoppable.
Finn Iles is on a tear as of late, but Elliott Heap put a damper on his momentum winning this qualie round.
Tahnee Seagrave coming in second to Rachel…a distant second, but still up there.
Loud colors for TB.
Flat pedal guy Brendog dabbing for a bit. Strong qualifier for the big dog.
Strange seeing Danny Hart on FOX. He’s had a good year so far, so it seems to be working for him.
The G.O.A.T.
Never a good thing to see.
Mike Jones is loving the slippery conditions.
Surely Gee doesn’t mind the mud either.
Makes you wonder how many times people have blown this section…
Tracey Hannah always looking for a result.
Loris’ first big result in seniors. 2nd in qualifying.
Rach riding dirty
Manon trying to find some extra time.
Bath time.

Johannes Fischbach. 8th in qualies. Impressive.
Gwin – unphased by md.
