Troy Brosnan just came through with a great result at Vallnord qualifying close to a second ahead of the GOAT, Greg Minnaar. While a handful of riders seem to favor 27.5″ wheels on this track, there were still a great deal of 29″ wheeled pilots in the top 10. Wheel sizes aside, this race is shaping up to be a win for the spectators with athletes absolutely loving the track. Tomorrow could quite literally go to anyone.
In the women’s, last Tracey Hannah is staying strong with the top qualifier while Rachel Atherton fought through the pain of an injured shoulder to qualify 8th.
Finn Iles edged out Matt Walker by a hair so the two rivals will be laying it down tomorrow to see who the top dog is…
In women’s juniors, Megan James took the top spot by a whopping 17 seconds.
The track is running fast…trim the tires.
Could that 9 change to a 6 tomorrow?
Keeping a watchful eye on live timing.
Balmy conditions to say the least.
Blue skies in the below the bridge pan…
A handful of bikes waiting to be punished.
Keeping the legs loose.
Pompon looking to change that 3 to a 2…then maybe a 1.
Tracey taking full advantage of Rachel’s absence.
In the footage we’ve seen, Mick has looked quite fast.
Loic Bruni with his freakishly good form.
#1 & #19 today…
Finn’s pink bike pops.
Minnaar slid into second but could easily be holding back.
Tahnee Seagrave looking to follow up with another win.
Gwin annihilating turns.
TB looking poised in the off camber.
Luca Shaw is hungry for a big result in seniors. It’s only a matter of time until he gets his way.
Danny is riding well, but doesn’t quite have the edge he had last season.
Critical.
The damp dirt just pops in the photos…looks so good.
Big compressions in this section.
Neko Mulally sneaking out of the woods.
Fresh kit for Jack Moir the Aussie champ.
Loris clinging.
See you tomorrow! All eyes on this guy.
