Santa Cruz / Juliana’s New 5010 and Furtado

Santa Cruz and Juliana are releasing an all new 5010 and Furtado respectively. With 27.5″ wheels and 140mm front/130mm rear travel, it’s aimed at being a fun, lively, middle of the road play toy of a bike. With its release, the brands introduce a handful of features and concepts that are new, to them anyway.

Along with the launch of the bike, nodding to the bike’s overall attitude, Santa Cruz put together a launch video which is very much worth a watch. You can find it below…

Geometry

Props to Santa Cruz for using scaled geometry with a chainstay length that incrementally increases throughout the size range, as you can see below. Other notable changes compared to the prior model are a slacker head angle, higher bottom bracket (due to the travel bump)
