Schwalbe 2015 lineup

Schwalbe, the well known German manufacturer of on and off road tires showed us some interesting developments for 2015

New Nobby Nic

Now in its 3rd generation, the Nobby Nic gets another makeover. The new design is much more aggressive, designed for trail ranging all over the board.

The design has completely changed: sturdy side knobs provide excellent cornering grip, especially in soft conditions. The transition knob is also generous, to improve both grip and traction while pedaling, and to make the tire easier to manage and give more predictable cornering. The wide central blocks are meant to ensure good traction under heavy braking.

Thanks to the new system Easy Tubeless, conversion is simple and much faster: the Schwalbe rubber seals with quickly and mounting tubeless becomes extremely easy.

Jumbo Jim: new fat bike tire

As fat bikes become more popular Schwalbe has decided to cater to all mountain bikers with a new tire spec: Jumbo Jim.

The Jumbo Jim will be available in two versions: 26 × 26 × 4.0 and 4.8.

One interesting feature is the weight of the rubber. 4:00 inches in width (100 mm), weighs 990 grams. Alternatively, it is also available in extra wide : 4.80 inches (120 mm). Schwalbe also offers tubes to match.

Jumbo Jim is available in stores in Snakeskin / Tubeless ready and with Liteskin side walls as well. Price, depends on the version, from Euro 79.90 to Euro 99.90. The tube weighs 390 grams and costs Euro 12,90

Magic Mary Bike Park

Anew version of the proven Magic Mary has been developed specifically for the bike park guys in a 2.5″ width. It is basically a reinforced version of the Magic Mary with a weight of 1.5kg and a truly bombproof casing. Ideal for those who are tired of pinching!

Thunder Burt 2.25

The Thunder Burt, a well loved XC tire will now also available in version 2.25. A good choice for drier terrain.

New tubeless kit and multitool

For 2015 Schwalbe has also introduced a new conversion kit for tubeless ready rims and traditional ones as well.

The kit consists of two elements: an adapter designed to facilitate the installation and regulation of air from the tire and an extremely lightweight aluminum valve.

The kit is designed to make it easier to install either the tubeless ready Schwalbe tires for any tubeless system, really.

Also interesting is the new Schwalbe multitool, a must have for those mounting tubeless tires on the go.
