SLF Motion’s Hyper 1X Pulley System

US brand SLF Motion has created a system of cages with oversized oversized diameter pulleys for 12-speed SRAM Eagle drivetrains and with midsize increased diameter pulleys for gravel drivetrains and 11-speed SRAM Force 1 cyclocross gearboxes.

The midsize version has equal 14-tooth upper and lower pulleys, while the oversize version has a 14-tooth upper pulley and a lower 18-tooth sheave.

The owner of the brand, Blake Young, explains that thanks to the increased pulley, the friction is reduced and consequently the transmission performance is improved in terms of smoothness and shifting precision, while reducing wear and tear. By mounting the Hyper 1X System, the ground clearance of the pulley remains unchanged from the standard pulley with a standard long cage.

The Hyper 1X System is made entirely in the United States with a high-quality carbon fiber cage, 7075 aluminum alloy pulleys and hybrid ceramic bearings, with steel balls and ceramic-coated steel tracks.
