[Spy Shot] Loic Bruni riding for Öhlins?

[ad3]

World Champion Specialized rider Loic Bruni, has been teasing us on his Instagram regarding the suspension he’s been riding lately.  He’s been using a smartphone app to mask and blur out his suspension on his Demo and his Enduro during this off season.  A bit of sleuthing around and it becomes seems that it could be Öhlins…

Judging by the placement of these “stickers”, it seems that both front and rear suspension is to kept secret, as well as the brakes.  For brakes DH we wonder if it is a new SRAM Code given that on the Enduro we see that Loic continues to use SRAM as brakes.

Öhlins and Specialized have worked closely together for some time so it wouldn’t be totally surprising if Loic is working with the iconic Swedish brand.  The sloppy blurring can only cover up so much…

By comparing the photos posted by Loic and the image of Öhlins RXF fork, we note 4 distinct elements that help us to identify it.

From top to bottom:

1 – Shape of the brake arch/brake hose attachment
2 – Decals: you can see the top edge of the gold label
3 – Right side axle pinch bolt
4 – Gold rebound knob.
