Today SRAM is announcing their much anticipated Eagle GX AXS products. In addition to their already available non-electronic GX drivetrain parts, you can now purchase a GX AXS derailleur and controller. SRAM is selling a GX AXS Upgrade Kit with the two parts as well as a charger and a universal chain tool as a nice package for those who want to add AXS to their current Eagle system.
Working off of SRAM’s current AXS design, the new system brings the advantages down to a much lower price point. For comparison’s sake, the XO1 and XX1 upgrade kits are $1,000 USD and the GX comes in at just $600.
Derailleur – $370
Controller – $150
Battery cover – $20
GX AXS Upgrade Kit – $600
