[Press Release] – A beautiful, retro-inspired, mash-up—part beach cruiser, part mountain bike, and part BMX. The perfect “DGAF” bike, for neighborhood cruises, trips to the corner store, and walking the dog – or if you’re feeling audacious, mount up and rip a trail. Built on a durable steel frame and fork with a 5-year warranty, this bike will take a beating and look good while doing it. We paired the bike with BMX Style stem and a 30” extra-wide V-bar with 7″ rise and Vans Grips.
No brakes needed. This bike eliminates all the complications of modern-day bikes, focusing on recapturing your favorite childhood memories of riding. Mash the pedals, coast, take a jump when you find one, and lay down fat skids by pedaling backward on the coaster-brake equipped hub. No need to be afraid of dirt, we’ve equipped this with 27.5×2.3” WTB Vigilante Mountain Bike Tires. When you’re done, crack open your favorite beverage on the included bottle opener attached to the bottle cage mounts.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with State Bicycle Co,” says State Forty Eight Creative Director, Nicholas Polando. “It’s a dream to be able to come together with another Arizona-grown company and deliver a unique product to our clientele. For this collaboration bike we wanted it to be something that spoke to our people,” says Polando.
“Something that was different yet practical—and the retro-inspired Klunker fit that idea. The obvious color choice was the deep sparkly copper, to pull some true Arizona vibes. The thick cactus Arizona shape is front-and-center on the head badge, while the main State Fourty Eight logo sits near the bottle opener on the down tube.” He adds “Be sure to try and find the love of Arizona Easter Egg hidden on the bike as well!”
State Fourty Eight has also designed a tee to accompany the bike for those seeking the ultimate copper state tribute.
