The updating of Niner’s lineup continues on the heels of the new WFO 9 RDO, as today the pioneer brand of 29-inch mountain bikes unveils their new JET 9 RDO, based on the same design as the new RIP and WFO.
The rear wheel travel is 120mm, managed by Niner’s Constantly Varying Arc (CVA) suspension system, with a compression curve optimized for the JET’s mid-travel, supportive and progressive to provide the feeling of more travel.
As the name reveals, the frame is made with the usual RDO construction method in carbon fiber composite developed by Niner.
The design of the frame reproduces that of the RIP and the WFO, from which it differs, however, by the absence of the characteristic cradle positioned above the bottom bracket, saving weight since the intended use of the JET does not require the same stiffness as the bigger siblings.
As with the other models in the range, the JET also has an internal and fully guided cable routing and abundant protection for the frame, both under the downtube and on the chainstay.
The rear suspension is equipped with a laser etched sag indicator on the upper link. The front triangle allows you to accommodate large bottles.
The geometry is adjustable via a flip-chip placed between the rear end and the upper linkage rod.
