The European Enduro Series continues and on July 25 and 26 the third stop of the tour takes place at beautiful Reschenpass. The “3-Länder Enduro Trails” between Austria, Switzerland and Italy offer everything that fulfills the heart of every enduro shredder. With the participation of the cup holder, Robert Williams (GBR), and the winner of the first stop in Punta Ala, Czech’s Michal Prokop, this promises to be a thrilling third stop of the series. Registration will be open on 8th, June.
From the Mediterranean Sea in Punta Ala, Italy, to the glacier trails in Sölden, Austria, the European Enduro Series continues in the border area between these two countries and Switzerland at the scenic mountain lake Reschen. For the second time the “3-Länder Enduro Race” is part of the series and as it was a spectacular race in the previous year with long and challenging stages, something similar can be expected this year.
The area around Lake Reschen is a mecca for enduro bikers of every level. Within the “3-Länder Enduro Trails” project more trails are being built and all shredders will totally get their money´s worth. The towns of Nauders, St. Valentin, Reschen and Graun cooperate to create a transboundary trail network in the beautiful landscape of Lake Reschen. The European enduro elite will put the area to the acid test on July 26.
Since the first race of the season in Punta Ala, Italy, was spectacular and a great success, and everybody is curious what to expect from the race in Sölden, participants can rely on the high quality standards of the series at stop #3 and expectations are high for the race in the gorgeous tri-border region. The racetrack will lead the participants through all three countries, four gondolas and six stages with a total length of 18 km.
The racers have to climb 1500 meters in altitude and race about an altitude of 3000 meters down to the lake. The start and finish area is directly at the Schönebenbahn at the azure blue lake and goes a distance of 53 km in total. Mostly untreated trails with lots of different challenges await the competitors. From flow trails to rooty and rocky parts, the bikers will race at their highest level. Views of the picturesque lake complete the fantastic atmosphere. In order to ensure the maximum trail experience, the four cable cars Mutzkopfbahn, Bergkastelbahn, Schönebenbahn and Haideralmbahn will be integrated in the racetrack.
The winner of the first EES stop 2015, Michal Prokop, has already confirmed his participation. However, his competitors will try hard to hit him on the break. Robert Willams, winner of EES 2014 and second in Punta Ala is close on Prokop´s heels and will definitely try to defend his title. With the participation of the likes of Fabian Scholz (GER), James Shirley (GBR), Benni Purner (AUT) and Monika Büchi from Switzerland it is absolutely going to be a tough and spectacular race in an enchanting landscape. The weekend of July 25 and 26 will be full of sporty challenges in unique scenery in the middle of the Alps.
