Second edition of Trans Julius with longer trails and more parties
4-day enduro MTB adventure Trans Julius is going to take place in the Julian Alps in Slovenia from 21st to 24th June 2018. This year you can expect an even more diverse program: 4 days, 4 different locations, local culinary a er each day and 100 new MTB friends! There will be 58.5 km of ascent and 25 km of descent. Less than two thirds of places are still available. First early bird ends on 28th February 2018.
From Thursday to Sunday the Trans Julius competitors will enjoy the diverse landscape and trails in 4 different towns: Kranjska Gora, Bohinj, Most na Soči (Soča Valley) and Cerkno. Due to a national holiday on 25th June there is going to be an additional day for mountain biking in Bike&Fun Park Cerkno. The last day of competition a mass start is going to take place for all who love team rivalry on two wheels. Also be prepared for additional non-competitive surprise at the last day in Cerkno!
Program Trans Julius 2018
First day in Kranjska Gora is going to start with a daily prologue and the second stage is going to be night stage. There will also be a lot of mountain biking activities for children during the day, and the first evening Trans Julius Opening party will bring the riders party animal out of them.
On the second day the riders are going to drive to the second town – Bohinj, where the most picturesque stage is taking place. The special experience with a bike train is going to happe also this year! Bohinj is going to host special evening concert, so all mountain bikers will have many opportunities to enjoy great cra beer, produced in Bohinj.
On a Saturday morning the competitors are going to transfer with a car train from Bohinj to Soča Valley (Most na Soči) – to the location of the best voted trail of Trans Julius 2017 by riders of the last year. This year’s trail is going to be even longer and at the end they are going to be part of traditional local event – celebration of Midsummer’s Day with a movie night under the stars.
The last, 4th, day of competition the competitors are going to Cerkno – a town with one of the best bike parks in Slovenia. Two stages are going to burn all the saved energy for the last day of competition! As last year, we expect one of the popular stages a stage with a mass start. All mountain biking fans are going to enjoy during the day at Scott pumptrack and other partners’ activities. The evening is going to be in the lights of a closing party with live music.
As 25th June is a national holiday in Slovenia, riders are going to have an opportunity to extend their stay in Cerkno at Bike&Fun Park for another day in mountain biking paradise.
Continental, the main partner of Trans Julius 2018 and one of the leading global technology companies known mainly by its premium tires also for mountain biking adventures, is bringing riders longer trails and more fun, as well as the new Continental Point at all the stages. At the Continental Point Trans Julius riders are going to have a chance to fully take care of their bikes with washing and a bike service.

Trans Julius team is going also to organise also Training Day at the end of May and first time they are going to publish Trans Julius Pocket Magazine for all who would love to know more about mountain biking in Slovenia. All young guns riders (U-20) are candidates to win at our special Young guns competition. 4 youngsters are getting free registration for Trans Julius 2018.
