Climb aboard with Richie Schley, Aaron Chase and Geoff Gulevich as they freight train — riding in a tight formation with lots of speed — through the Heavy Meadow above Retallack Lodge in British Columbia.
“This is the sub-alpine of Retallack Lodge,” says Schley of Heavy Meadow trail — one of Retallack’s 62 miles of singletrack on offer in the West Kootenay region of southern British Columbia, Canada. “When you come off the peak, you’re in the ‘meat and potatoes’ of this super fun trail — so fun, you shouldn’t be able to have this much flow on a trail!”
