[Video] Kilian Bron – White Island, New Zealand

“I’ve always liked doing things differently, constantly looking for different spots, where it seems impossible to ride at first sight.

White Island is an uninhabited and volcanic island located in the Pacific Ocean, 48km north of New Zealand and it’s only 2.4km wide. Accessible by boat or helicopter, only two riders put their wheels there before me: Kelly Mc Garry and Mike Hopkins.

Many areas of the island are forbidden because of the risk of collapse and multiple smokes of sulfur that comes out of the ground. I somehow managed to find some really interesting lines, including one on the ridge of the island, overhanging the sulfur lake. On the top, no error was allowed.”
