[Video] Nico Lau – Indepth Bike Check and Interview

Nico Lau is one of the top Enduro World Series athletes riding for Cube and hailing from France. With a Trans-Provence win under his belt and numerous high placements in the Enduro World series including one win, Nico Lau is undoubtedly a super nice guy very fast racer and one of the lesser known characters of the circuit.

We caught up with him and he went through the real world specs of his Enduro bike and explained what it all actually meant on the track, probably one of the clearest explanations we have ever had about a race bike and why riders choose certain components.

Nico also talks about his use of a front derailleur and how it affects his riding style. As one of the only top riders on the circuit with a 2 X 10 setup. It will be interesting to see with the new Shimano XTR 11-40T cassettes being available soon, if he continues that route.

His bike is a carbon framed Cube Stereo with 160mm of travel and he hinted that sometimes he runs a 180mm Fox fork, also he sometimes uses the aluminium frame not just the carbon frame. Interesting stuff, watch the in-depth video for more info and find out how we could tune our bikes with a “Nico” style.
