Wind delays, but who cares! Crankworx Innsbruck was a day to remember in mountain bike history. From firsts to falls, the day was not shy of drama as the worldβs best Slopestyle MTB riders stepped up to take the gold in Innsbruck.
The weather and tricky conditions left riders ever-closer to error, with Nicholi Rogatkin and Matt Jones going down early on. In the end, BMX guru David Godziek came home with an insane backflip to take 3rd and the comeback kid, π΄πππ πΉππππππππ blew us away today with an incredible silver medal run.
Last but not least, Brett Rheeder stepped up to defend the thrown β coming home with an unforgettable first place finish. Crankworx Innsbruck took flight in June of 2017, becoming the first European Crankworx host location outside of France. Since then itβs played host to some of the most exciting and visually stunning moments in Crankworx MTB history. The festival is the most urban of the stops on the Crankworx World Tour, bringing the best in the world this stories European city to get a taste of its big mountains, unique culture and growing mountain bike scene.
