Di solito a fine gennaio i contratti di sponsorship sono cosa fatta e gli atleti devono solo pensare ad allenarsi. Non per Florian Vogel e il Focus XC Team che proprio ieri hanno ricevuto la disdetta dallo sponsor principale, Focus, per quanto riguarda la stagione 2018.
Esatto, proprio quel Flo Vogel che è undicesimo nella classifica UCI del XC, che ha vinto la maglia di campione europeo nel 2017 e lo stesso che Focus ha usato come testimonial per il lancio della sua ultima bici elettrica con una traversata delle Alpi non stop.
Una situazione difficile, viste le tempistiche, a cui Vogel dà sfogo con un lungo e amaro post su Facebook, successivamente cancellato per evitare noie legali.

The FOCUS XC team dissociates itself from the manner of the public statements of
Florian Vogel. These were in no way agreed with the team management and do not
reflect the opinion of the Focus XC team.
We have already talked about it with Florian. He regrets his statements, apologizes
to the team and the partners and will not speak publicly in this way in the future.
The team management of the FOCUS XC team has ensured the implementation of
racing for the 2018 season after consultation with our partners.. Therefore we should
concentrate now together with Florian fully on the successful running of the race
season.
